Walk the ElbeYamuna Perfume, 14th of Sept 2013, Hamburg, Germany:

The performance with Yogesh Kumar and participants Walk the ElbeYamuna Perfume took place during the Imagine Two Rivers exhibition at the Freie Flusszone Station in the Hamburg City Center. The first station of the walk was at an Elbe channel at low tide where The Elbe Perfume was applied to one arm of each participant in the context of a smelling exercise conducted by Yogesh Kumar. The participants were invited to focus on their perception of the perfume in relation to the urban surroundings and the river present as they walked to the second station. There The Yamuna Perfume was applied to their other arm. Focusing on this perfume in the 'foreign' surroundings they walked to the third and last station - the opening of the Hamburg Harbor where they were invited to smell both perfumes together in front of the river-front. The performance ended in a long discussion with all the participants about their experience.

Imagine Two Rivers as Wallwork #10: olfactory installation in the L40-Foyer of the Verein für Kunst und Kultur am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz e.V., Sept - Nov 2013:

For the olfactory installation Imagine Two Rivers as Wallwork #10 the whole L40 building (Architecture: Roger Bundschuh und Cosima von Bonin) was approached as a bottle. The visual elements of the Imagine Two Rivers Perfume bottle were drawn on the foyer walls while two separate scent machines were installed at a distance from one another: one applied The Elbe Perfume in the foyer and the other applied The Yamuna Perfume in the staircase of the L40 building.
As The Elbe Perfume invaded the foyer, The Yamuna Perfume could only be smelled once mounting the stairs or entering the elevator.

During the performance lecture the public was separated into two river areas, Elbe and Yamuna, and each participant had the corresponding perfume applied on one arm. Using sound, image and text the Imagine Two Rivers project was shown and performed by the artist herself. Midway through the performance, the other perfume was applied.
